Social Sciences Department

Focus

The Social Sciences Department derives its mission from the Marine Military Academies statement of purpose. Committed to academic excellence... self discipline... sense of responsibility... a system of values and a strong work ethic; all of which are well grounded in history and patriotism, the Social Science Department seeks to develop Cadets who will reflect these Academy standards. With the exception of Government/Economics, all Social Science courses are also offered with an "honors" option. Political Science includes a "dual enrollment/advanced placement" designation. The Social Sciences Department is committed to developing a strong sense of citizenship in all Cadets.
